The Dual TVET model combines school-based training at TVET institutions with practical on-the-job training at companies. Modelled on the German dual apprenticeship system, it ensures graduates are industry-ready with hands-on experience from day one.
Phase II of the Dual TVET programme in Kenya built on the foundations laid in Phase I, expanding the programme to more institutions, more trade areas, and more industry partners. The Phase II Impact Report — to be officially launched at this conference — documents achievements in enrolment, graduate employment, industry uptake and policy integration.
